There
are 3 important concepts that one should keep in mind while selecting
Keyword for doing SEO of your business.
Keyword
Frequency
It
refers to the number of times a keyword phrase appears within a web
page. The concept behind is that if a keyword appears redundantly in
considerable number of times within a web content, the search engine
will likely to give more importance to the web page.
Keyword
Prominence
refers
to how prominent a keyword is within a web page in order to be placed
in the meta tags .
Suppose
I have a web page for Java training and want to set its title,
description and keywords. “
Java Training company in noida ”, “Training company in noida”,
“ IT training company ”.
Now
finding out relevant word to be placed in the meta tags is want
called as prominence.
The
best suited keyword from above mentioned is “Java training company
in noida” as it is a mix of all 3 mentioned words.
It
is always a good practice to put prominent keywords at the start of a
web page, sentence, TITLE or META tag.
Keyword
Proximity
refers
to the closeness between two or more keywords. In laymen language we
can say that more closeness between the keywords are, the more
effectively you can target them at a time.
For example:
I have keywords like “ Training company in noida ”, “ Java Training company in noida ”, “company in noida ” , “ Training companies in noida”, “ Java training in noida”
For example:
I have keywords like “ Training company in noida ”, “ Java Training company in noida ”, “company in noida ” , “ Training companies in noida”, “ Java training in noida”
so
after having a look on these keywords we observe that all are
describing the same meaning but occurred in different formats. So,
finding out such words that are similar and give support to each
other is called proximity.
This
concept helps in targeting similar words within a single keyword as
shown in “ Java training company in noida ”.
If
you keep all these terminologies in your mind then it would be
comparatively easy for you to target exact and prominent keyword
within your content.
